Imagine a Reality In Which...

Imagine a Reality In Which... :by Michael Willey

Imagination numbs our nerves.
Pain and sorrow, making our imaginations all the more real.
The life and death, sealing the deal.
What's the real difference,
Get me out, I don't want to feel.

Day in, day out, secrete the illusion.
From the day we're born, 'what's the solution?'
Our finite minds; growing impatient.
The stagnation starts with assumption.
The second step...
Is the support of majority.
Fuel the differences; create races, religion, and nationality.
What's the right, what's the wrong?
Who's the average, and who's the abnormality?
Find peace with these differences.
And rely on these destined formalities.

Ever since this wretched establishment,
New questions are bad.
Conformity is the attainment.
Shall you disregard these formalities;
You are wrong; a sinner.
Criticized and ostracized.

Imagination is the panacea for feeling; pain.
See the reality, find insane.
Disperse the real from the real, and you will reveal;
The uncanny simplicity that we encounter day to day.
Under the influence, simplicity is venial.

We're all the same species; affiliated.
Born to be categorized and separated.
Born into a black and white world, eyes wide open, dilated.
Color not accepted,
Expunged and resurrected.
Supercilious culture, practiced and perfected.
Difference and minority,
Picked upon and dissected.
Majority is malevolent.
Change isn't evident.
Majority Seems omniscient.
Point of view influential; all cogent.

Converge to this trend or leave.
Conform to this religion or sin.
Heterosexual or faggot.
Caucasion; white or nigger.

These are the themes they bequeath to us.
This is the foreground to society; the thoughts behind our thinking;
Marting Luther King still dreaming;
Glass half empty;
Alcoholics drunk on life, still drinking.
